Some oceans are not for everyone, some are just illusions.
The water may be too warm or too cold,
in some, sharks may be friends and anemones sting,
You may swim, but murky waters areĀ (of course) least inviting.
However, if you are brave, then you can try,
to fathom the shadows of a hidden smile.
Then by all means swim, for your love and your life,
To find nobody’s waiting on the other side.
Some prefer the calm of the sands and the bay
They touch the waters with no plans to stay,
Regret may forever taint your soul,
if the sea drowns you, and makes you fall,
deep into the abyss of lost dreams, can’t you see?
The oceans are not meant for mortals like me.
